The Jason Deighton-Sarzetakis collection, which was donated by his parents Yiannis Sarzetakis and Ruth Deighton, reflects the collectors’ taste as exquisite specimens of the original Central Asian nomads’ aesthetics created for personal and non commercial use.

This publication contains an illustrative part of the collection with artefacts, accompanied by texts, short explanatory entries, bibliography and illustrated glossary. The catalogue is a presentation of Central Asian textile art with the aim of informing the wider public and, at the same time, it is intended that it will be the occasion for dialogue.
